Final USC Defense Trends 2001-2008
Here is a look at the companion charts for the final USC trends on defense for the 2008 season. For the purpose of comparison I’ll place the data in trend charts for the entire Pete Carroll era across the 2001 to 2008 seasons. The data is from the NCAA’s CFB site and should be accurate. If you prefer just looking at data in a table then just a glance at the first graphic will suffice. Down below the table I’ll place the data in trend charts which are easier to view in terms of highlighting variation. Several of the marks established new benchmark levels of performance for the Pete Carroll era. Just like the totals on offense in 2005 fans might not see some of these levels again for quite some time? The 29 sacks generated this season is the only figure that jumps out as abnormally low given all the other performances…

Nice job. Keep up the good work! I need something to keep me going during the off season. This will help.
Trojan defense is quite simple yet soooooooooooooo effective! Pete stops everybody! Stats prove it! Once again, this has been a great help to me as a coach and teacher! Great site!
